Airbags

It is hard to argue that airbags do not save lives; however, airbags can also cause injuries. For example, children riding in the front seat have been seriously injured or killed when an airbag deploys in a crash. While an airbag appears to be a soft pillow ? it is anything but. During deployment an airbag comes out of the dashboard at speeds up to 200 miles per hour (300 feet per second. And, despite its pillow like appearance, the force of a deploying airbag can hurt, kill, mame and burn those who are sitting too close to it.

And, like any other product manufacturers of airbags can be held responsible for defects in design, producuction, or incorrect installation. Common defects in the manufacturing of airbags include, but are not limited to, those that deploy with too much force, deploy in minor collisions, unexpectedly deploy for no apparent reason, or fail to deploy under circumstances in which they should.

If you have been injured by a defective airbag you should feel free to contact us.
